Cream Puffs
Have you ever given some thoughts to the difference between what a real cloud and cream puffs might taste like?
Sounds like a philosophical question to me
It is, in my humble opinion, truly fascinating that we devised multitudes of genius ways to mimic the unfathomable sensations using the simplest ingredients (most of the time) and creative baking techniques.
Sugar, Cream, Flour (yes of course butter is also included)
I might just as well coin this as the holy triangle of baking and happiness
What to always expect and demand nothing less:
Crispy outer shell with explosive flavor from the whipped cream that filled up the cream puff nicely.
Never let them cut you any slack on the filling
On the left of the picture, the earl grey’s mild and fragrant flavor gently seeps through the milkiness of the cream and wraps around your tongue like clouds on a sunny day. The chocolate one, on the other hand, delivers a rich cocoa flavor that entices you to devour it in one bite (not saying anyone can’t, just not advised). Interestingly, the toasted marshmallow has a chewy texture that also complemented the crispy, crumbly shell. Of course, I always pour myself some oolong tea or perhaps next time, peach white tea, to savor my munchie experiences.

Some leftover comments on the store: the space is bit cramped, especially at peak hours, making it not so enjoyable experience to dine in, but in general a cute dessert destination to check out while you are in town!
