One thing that bothers me, or perhaps you too, is deciding where to eat when you hang out with your friends. I know I am making it sound like a big deal, but when you try to choose between halal, pizza, sushi, taco, salad, burger…you know what I mean.

we also agreed on something affordable and economical

Top Thai Greenwich was our final choice. (or my final choice)

Going to reward myself with a fulfilling brunch, I ordered pad see eew with skirt steak.

It was stunning.

Pad See Eew with skirt steak #juicy

Have to say, beautifully charred, completely covered the flat rice noodles in its glory, the steak itself is a feast just by looking at it.

Upon the first bite, my mouth was wrapped around the steak’s tenderness and its meat juice. It is a mix of a slightly sweet, tangy, and savory flavor that is mellow and comforting. The noodle itself is springy and soft, but you don’t want it to sit there too long as it might congeal. The magic with this dish is its wok hay, or the spirit of the wok, that gave the dish a charred flavor, or what I call it, the flavor of summer.

And of course, 15% veggie + 30% noodle + 55% steak = 100% happiness.

So why not add a classic drink?

Thai Ice Tea, a jug full

What a mesmerizing color and texture! While diving into the pad see eew, the Thai tea pulled me right into the next level of happiness. It cools you down into zen mode amid humid weather and refreshes your palate.

Isn’t that what we sometimes need?

Peace amid chaos, calm amid storms

So, take your time to enjoy life~
